The Griffin’s have been around almost as long as our club. Through the years they have seen many successes such as winning championships, taking tours and doing lots of community outreach. In this time the club also created a 7’s tournament that has become one of the best run and most respected tournaments on the east coast with over 30 teams attending. This is also one of the team's major fundraisers for the year. The club also celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2018. In light of the milestone, the men’s team took over 40 players over to London for a tour. The team had much success and more importantly created a lot of lasting memories with teammates.
In the early 2000s former USA Head Coach George Betzler joined the team as head coach and saw the team take an undefeated run that led to Division II championships. Upon his departure, long time club member Stuart Marjoram helped rebuild a new generation of men’s team players that resulted in championship runs in Division III. Under the leadership of Head Coach Steve Green, the men’s team was able to survive a turbulent time of setbacks and rise from Division IV back to Division II. Steve’s commitment was a major part of the team being able to compete back at the Division II level.
Currently, Christian Lewis is head coach of the program. Chrisitian looks to keep the successes and integrity of the program going as he coaches the team.
